Lash Affair Lounge had its Grand Opening of their new location last week and we were there to style their cupcakes! The cupcakes were from the delicious Crave Cupcakes in Old Strathcona and the icing matched their color scheme perfectly! Special thanks to Melissa at Raimondi Art & Photography (and Candy & Creme Boudoir) for the beautiful photos.
Last weekend, I created a Sweets Table for the lovely Amanda and her Groom, Jeff. Their wedding reception was held at the Art Gallery of Alberta. Inspired by the modern feel of the Art Gallery, I decided to create some Modern Art as the backdrop. Just under 3500 pieces of paper were hand rolled by moi to create this fun piece and the table had over 50 pounds of candy!!!! The sweet tags were created by Pink Polka Designs. Congratulations to Jeff & Amanda!!!!!
My most recent Sweets Table below was created for a baby shower for my client Tina’s second baby girl. We wanted a sweet, girly dessert table….. so of course, I chose pink! Pink and purple ombre ruffles to be exact. Desserts included Raspberry Passion Macarons from Mirabelle Macarons, Strawberry Vanilla Cupcakes from Crave Cupcakes, Chocolate cake from Wild Earth Bakery and other yummy treats like cakepops, powdered donuts, pink popcorn, Jelly Bellies, Sweet Tarts and rock candy.
Welcome to the world Sweet Brooklyn!
This Alice in Wonderland inspired dessert table was created for a very special Bride to be! Amanda’s uber fabulous Aunt hired me to not only create a dessert table for Amanda but also to style and pull together all of the elements for this amazing Wonderland Tea Party Bridal Shower. The photos are taken by Eee and Bee Photography. They also did a feature on me and LOVEinc Dessert Styling over on their website! Check it out!!!
Favor boxes, complete with Open Me tags, were placed in each tea cup and inside were these amazing Wonderland Pocket Watches we found on Etsy by Montage Supply. (Photo also by Montage Supply). The girls loved them and they looked great as necklaces!
All of the printables were created by Sweet Scarlet designs including the Drink Me tags on the tea cups.
I am looking forward to creating a dessert table for Amanda’s Wedding coming up in October!
Sharon Litchfield of Sharon Litchfield Photography sent me these beautiful images of the candy table I did for Krista & Scotts Wedding reception at the Matrix hotel last weekend. The event was coordinated by Jennifer Bergman Weddings and the stationary was done by the talented Pink Polka Designs. A big thank you to Sharon for these wonderful photos!
To celebrate Carters first birthday, my brother and sister-in-law threw him a pool party at their home. Carter loves sesame street and Mommy loves anything colorful so we decided on a Rainbow Sesame Street party!
I came up with the idea of a 28 layer rainbow cake from a photo I saw on pinterest. Once I started mixing the cake batter in to gorgeous color combinations, I got carried away and it soon evolved into a 40 layer cake!
Since the cake was so large, I decided on a sundae bar to compliment the cake. There was ice cream, waffle cones and bowls and lots of yummy toppings.
The Printables for the party were done by Sweet Scarlet Designs. They included all of the printables on the dessert table, the invitation, bunting, signs and thank you tags.
and finally treat bags for the kids to take home with them! The party was so much fun and over 30 people came out to celebrate. Thank you to all my friends and family who made this day extra special for my little man!
