Chalkboards are all the rage in the wedding world right now and they are such a great modern & whimsical accent. Robby & Kavita wanted a fun, colourful, modern candy table that would be a complete contrast to their soft, romantic dessert table. The ten foot chalkboard I created for the backdrop was a great way to draw attention to the candy table and add some personality. Adding the couples names & wedding date to the chalkboard was a wonderful way to add a personal detail and the sweet love sayings added a big dose of whimsy. This candy table was so much fun with tons of crowd favorites such as Gummi Coke Bottles, Skittles, Gummi Bears, and M&M’s to childhood favorites like Pop Rocks, Sour Patch Kids, Ring Pops and Pixi Stix. There was really something for everyone! Thanks to Pink Polka Designs for the gorgeous candy tags and Elegant Touches for the pretty linens!
I am so behind on my blogging! I have been so busy with my gorgeous summer weddings that I haven’t had a moment to get all of the photos posted here on the blog. I quickly wanted to share a few images from some of my recent dessert tables while I get my act in gear and get blogging! Thank goodness for the ease of Instagram! Stay posted for more photos in the weeks to come!
First up, Jenny & Hon’s Sweets table complete with 260 mini cupcakes and tons of pink, purple, gold and white candy. The gold frames added some gorgeous glamour to the table!!
And last but certainly not least, Robby & Kavitas Candy table which had well over 200 pounds of candy on it! I also made the chalkboard backdrop which turned out to be the highlight of the table. Stay tuned!
My last event of 2012 was a fun New Years Eve Sweets Table. Bride & Groom, Andrea and Colin brought in 2013 with a bang! They were married on December 31st and had a gorgeous New Years Eve Wedding. Desserts from Mirabelle Macaron, Duchess Bake Shop, Cake Couture, Crave Cupcakes and Wild Earth Bakery. Thanks to Pink Polka Design for the beautiful stationary that matched the couple invitation perfectly. Thank you also to Elegant Events for the Linens and uplighting! Andrea & Colin were truly a pleasure to work with and are such a great couple. Check out the photo at the bottom of them and their guests having a blast at midnight! That photo was such great moment and it was captured by Curtis Round Photography!!!!!
Congratulations on your big day!
This Mardi Gras Inspired Dessert Table was created for the Yachimec Auto Group Holiday Party. Stretching 18 feet long and a spread for 450 people, it was the largest table I have done to date. The rich Mardi Gras colors of purple, green and gold made for a fun, colorful and glamorous table. Thanks to Pink Polka Designs for the gorgeous stationary design and Elegant Touches for the rental of the linens and the gorgeous gold candelabras. The desserts came from a wide assortment of bakeries in the city including Mirabelle Macarons, Duchess Bake Shop, Cake Couture and Wow Factor Desserts. I also added 8 new cake stands to my rental collection!
I am behind on my blogging as November was a crazy busy month for us. Between moving into our new home, running after my 16 month old and prepping for my upcoming events, I haven’t had a free second to blog! Stay tuned for some new posts this week but in the meantime, I have to share some more photos from a wedding candy table I did in October. I just received some gorgeous photos from the very talented Christina Louise Photography and wanted to share. The Bride, Amanda, is beyond gorgeous and I was so happy to be included in their special day. Thanks again to Pink Polka Designs for the stationary and to the Art Gallery of Edmonton. The backdrop I created was made out of over 3500 pieces of rolled paper to create an original piece of art. I love how it also served as a great backdrop for the speeches!
Congratulations again to this amazing (and gorgeous) couple!!!!
